Emily Zhang

Biology Teacher, Science Department Head

Graduating from Central China Normal University with a major in Life Sciences, Emily has dedicated more than a decade to international secondary education, gaining profound familiarity with IB, A-Level, and AP curricula. She is passionate about employing diverse teaching methodologies to build bridges between students and the mysteries of life in the natural world.

Teaching both "Principles of Biology" and "Advanced Biology," Emily is enthusiastic about igniting students' curiosity, encouraging them to pose questions boldly and actively engage in hands-on practices to understand and transform the world.

Firmly believing that the essence of education lies in the cultivation of comprehensive literacy and the broadening of horizons, Emily sees these as two wings that empower learners to view the world from a more holistic and profound perspective. Not only do students master biological knowledge, but they also learn how to apply this knowledge interdisciplinarily, think innovatively to solve complex problems, and thus demonstrate a stronger sense of responsibility and agency on their growth journey and in contributing to societal progress.
