Derived from "The highest good is like water." The color blue, the color of water and sky (the blue of water is actually the reflection of the sky), represents "sky" in the four great forces of the universe.
What do you think of Blue House?
"Ultimate frisbee is amazing!"
"There are so many friends of mine in it."
"It's a house."
"It has become an excellent house according to the school's guidelines."
"A very united place."
"A big group with strong resources."
"It has a very competitive head of house and several members with very curly hair."
Blue House has long been jokingly called "Moonshot Sports House," because we have won the ultimate frisbee competition twice in a row, both in the teacher and learner categories, and also took first place in the spring term sports meet's total points (the trophies and medals are still on the desk of the Honorary House Head, aka Senior School Principal Ryan Yang).
But Blue House is not just about sports! We've had snowball fights together, explored the Galaxy Museum, played treasure hunts, rehearsed Schrödinger's dance formation, and recorded "Blue House reminds you – class is starting/ending!" Of course, we also go through some boring moments together, and in those moments of boredom, we find meaningful conversations with each other.
I once told the learners of Blue House, "Blue House is not your label, but it can always be your home."
We travel over mountains and seas, and nurture all things without conflict. Even though the future is full of uncertainties, we will definitely stand out in the great adventure of life.
